Termination of imprisonment on payment of proportional part of fine If, before the expiration of the term of imprisonment fixed in default of payment, such a proportion of the fine be paid or levied that the term of imprisonment suffered in default of payment is not less than proportional to the part of the fine still unpaid, the imprisonment shall terminate. દંડના પ્રમાણસર ભાગની ચુકવણી પર કેદની સમાપ્તિ જો, ચૂકવણીમાં કસૂરવાર ઠેરવવામાં આવેલી કેદની મુદતની મુદત પૂરી થાય તે પહેલાં, દંડનું એવું પ્રમાણ ચૂકવવામાં આવે અથવા વસૂલવામાં આવે કે જે ચૂકવવામાં કસુરવાર ભોગવવામાં આવેલી કેદની મુદત હજુ પણ ચૂકવવામાં ન આવે તેવા દંડના ભાગના પ્રમાણ કરતાં ઓછી ન હોય, તો કેદ સમાપ્ત થશે.
