Dishonest misappropriation of property Whoever dishonestly misappropriates or converts to his own use any movable property, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both. Example: A person who dishonestly misappropriates or converts to his own use any movable property, may be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both. In a real FIR or trial, investigators must show that the facts match the ingredients of the offence (intent, act, and other elements as applicable) under Section 403.
