Wrongful confinement for three or more days Whoever wrongfully confines any person for three days or more, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both. [Chapter 16: wrongful restraint and wrongful confinement]

Example: A person who wrongfully confines any person for three days or more, may be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both. In a real FIR or trial, investigators must show that the facts match the ingredients of the offence (intent, act, and other elements as applicable) under Section 343.
