Death caused by act done with intent to cause miscarriage Whoever, with intent to cause the miscarriage of a woman with child, does any act which causes the death of such woman, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine; [Chapter 16: the causing miscarriage, injuries to unborn children, the exposure infants, and the concealment births]

Example: Whoever, with intent to cause the miscarriage of a woman with child, does any act which causes the death of such woman, may be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine; In a real FIR or trial, investigators must show that the facts match the ingredients of the offence (intent, act, and other elements as applicable) under Section 314.
